Your reading is nobody’s business

What Colophon collects

Nothing. Colophon has no accounts, no analytics, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking of any kind. The app does not know who you are, and neither do we.

Where your data lives

Everything you save — articles, books, PDFs, highlights, notes, and ink — is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, your library syncs through your personal iCloud account, under Apple’s standard end-to-end protections; we operate no servers and cannot see it.

On-device intelligence

Summaries, key points, tags, and answers about your library are generated by Apple Intelligence on the device itself. Nothing you read is sent to us or to any third-party AI service.

Optional connections you control

If you connect your own Miniflux server or export to your own Obsidian vault, Colophon talks directly to services you run and configured yourself. Credentials are kept in the system Keychain. When you fetch articles or feeds, your device connects to those websites directly, as any browser would.
